Portugal, all of it.
680 curated places across 21 regions — photographed, mapped, and noted with the season each is best in.
The 4 biggest regions — Madeira, Lisbon, Azores and Porto — read below as chapters, with 17 more waiting past them.
Chapter I · Madeira · 106 places
Madeira
Pico do Arieiro is the third-highest peak on Madeira at 1,818 metres, connected by a dramatic ridge trail to Pico Ruivo, the island's highest summit. The summit is frequently above the cloud inversion layer, offering views over a sea of clouds with volcanic peaks emerging like islands, particularly striking at sunrise. The landscape consists of exposed basalt ridges, steep-sided valleys, and endemic vegetation adapted to high-altitude conditions.
Chapter II · Lisbon · 104 places
Lisbon
Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of continental Europe, a granite headland rising 140 metres above the Atlantic in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park west of Lisbon. The lighthouse, operating continuously since 1772, and the exposed clifftop provide unobstructed sunset views over the open ocean. The cliffs support colonies of nesting seabirds and endemic plant species adapted to the constant salt-laden winds.

Chapter III · Azores · 70 places
Azores
The lake complex within the Sete Cidades caldera comprises two interconnected bodies of water — Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul — covering a combined area of approximately 4.5 square kilometres at an elevation of 270 metres. The water surface reflects the surrounding caldera rim of hydrangea-covered slopes, and the classic photography viewpoint from Vista do Rei frames both lakes and the entire caldera in a single composition. Kayaking and paddleboarding are permitted on the lakes and provide the most direct access to the caldera interior.
Chapter IV · Porto · 54 places
Porto
A historic Porto bookshop celebrated for its ornate carved woodwork and a sweeping crimson staircase. Its Art Nouveau interior draws visitors from around the world.
