The Rota Vicentina is a long-distance walking network on the Atlantic-facing Vicentina Coast of Portugal's southwest, encompassing the Fishermen's Trail along clifftops above wild beaches and the Historical Way through rural villages of the Alentejo interior. The coastline here, part of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentina Coast Natural Park, is largely undeveloped and characterised by vertiginous cliffs, migrating dunes, and strong Atlantic surf.
