Chapter I · Ontario · 138 places
Ontario
Tobermory sits at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula where Georgian Bay meets Lake Huron, serving as the gateway to both Fathom Five National Marine Park and the Bruce Peninsula National Park. The crystal-clear cold waters of Fathom Five contain nineteen shipwrecks at diveable depths and the otherworldly Flowerpot Island with its eroded sea stacks. The Bruce Trail, Canada's oldest and longest marked hiking path, reaches its northern terminus here.

British Columbia
A challenging 75km wilderness trail along the western edge of Vancouver Island in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, known for rugged sea stacks, old-growth forest, and tidal beaches. Considered one of the world's premier backcountry hiking routes, it requires a permit and takes 6–7 days to complete.

An island in the St. Lawrence River just downstream of Quebec City, Île d'Orléans preserves much of the rural Laurentian landscape first settled by French colonists in the seventeenth century. The island is a significant agricultural producer of strawberries, apples, and maple products.
