Occupying the northern tip of Cape Breton Island, this national park encompasses a high plateau of boreal and Acadian forest deeply cut by river gorges, bordered by steep sea cliffs dropping to the Atlantic. The Cabot Trail highway traverses the park's perimeter, climbing to dramatic coastal headlands with sweeping ocean views. The park supports one of eastern Canada's healthiest moose populations.
