Canada's largest Rocky Mountain national park covers 10,878 square kilometres of glaciated peaks, river valleys, hot springs, and vast wildlife corridors along the Continental Divide. The park is a designated Dark Sky Preserve and one of the best locations in North America for observing the Milky Way and northern lights. Populations of elk, wolf, grizzly bear, and woodland caribou are all present within the park.
