The Athabasca River funnels through a narrow quartzite gorge to produce one of Jasper National Park's most powerful waterfalls. Although not exceptionally tall, the sheer volume of water crashing through the confined canyon creates dramatic mist and thunderous sound. A network of paved walkways and viewing platforms allows close-range observation and strong compositions with the canyon walls framing the falls.
