Navagio, also called Shipwreck Beach, is an isolated cove on the northwest coast of Zakynthos accessible only by boat, where the rusting hull of the MV Panagiotis ran aground in 1980 and remains partially buried in the white pebbled shore. Towering limestone cliffs enclose the cove on three sides, creating an extraordinarily dramatic setting. The overhanging clifftop viewpoint above the beach provides a sweeping aerial perspective of the wreck and turquoise waters.

The Erechtheion is a late fifth-century BCE Ionic temple on the north side of the Acropolis, distinguished by the Porch of the Caryatids — a portico whose roof is supported by six draped female figures in place of columns. The building housed several sacred sites of early Athenian religion on a rocky terrace of uneven elevation, a challenge its architects resolved with split-level construction. The caryatids on display are copies; the originals are held in the Acropolis Museum.

Fira is the capital of Santorini, perched on the western caldera rim roughly 260 metres above sea level. Cable cars and zigzagging donkey paths connect the clifftop town to the old port below, while the caldera-facing terraces look across the water toward the volcanic islet of Nea Kameni. The Archaeological Museum of Thera and the Museum of Prehistoric Thera hold significant collections from the Minoan and later periods of the island's history.

Thessaloniki is Greece's second city, situated at the head of the Thermaic Gulf, with a compact historic core containing Byzantine churches, Ottoman mosques, and a Roman-era forum within a short walking distance of each other. The White Tower, a sixteenth-century Ottoman fortification on the waterfront, has become the city's defining landmark. The upper town, enclosed within Byzantine walls, preserves timber-framed houses and offers panoramic views down to the harbour and across to Mount Olympus on clear days.
