Istanbul Province
A city straddling two continents across the Bosphorus strait, Istanbul preserves two millennia of accumulated imperial history within a modern metropolis of nearly sixteen million people. The historic peninsula contains the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, and the Grand Bazaar within walking distance of one another, while the Galata Tower and the hills of Beyoğlu offer panoramic views across the Golden Horn. Antalya Province
A Mediterranean port city at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, Antalya combines a well-preserved Roman-era old town — the Kaleiçi district of Ottoman houses, Hadrian's Gate, and a yacht-filled harbor — with access to some of Turkey's most visited beaches. The Düden Waterfalls descend directly into the sea a few kilometers east of the city center, providing an unusual coastal waterfall landscape. Muğla Province
A sheltered lagoon on the Aegean coast of southwestern Turkey where a narrow sand spit separates a glassy, protected inner bay from the open sea. The distinctive blue of the water, set against a backdrop of pine-forested mountains, has made it one of the most photographed coastal scenes in the country. Paragliders launching from the summit of Babadağ mountain above the lagoon add a distinct visual element to the bay's skyline.
