Chapter I · Adriatic Croatia · 34 places
Adriatic Croatia
The Krka National Park follows the lower course of the Krka River as it descends through a series of travertine waterfalls and turquoise pools toward the Adriatic. The Skradinski Buk cascade, the largest and lowest of the falls, is the park's centrepiece and can be viewed from a network of wooden boardwalks at close range. Upstream, the Roski Slap waterfall and the island monastery of Visovac add historical and natural depth to the landscape.
Chapter II · Zagreb · 28 places
Zagreb
The central square of Zagreb bustles with trams, markets, and outdoor cafes around a statue of the namesake governor. It serves as the meeting point and civic heart of the city's lower town.

Chapter III · Split-Dalmatia County · 26 places
Split-Dalmatia County
Hvar is a long, narrow island in the central Dalmatian archipelago, renowned for its lavender fields, Renaissance architecture, and sheltered harbour lined with palm trees. The medieval fortress Fortica rises above the old town and offers sweeping views over the Pakleni Islands and the open sea. The island receives more sunshine hours annually than almost anywhere else in Europe, making it a reliable summer destination.
Chapter IV · Dubrovnik-Neretva County · 20 places
Dubrovnik-Neretva County
The walled old town of Korčula occupies a small peninsula projecting into the Pelješac Channel, its fishbone street pattern a deliberate medieval design to channel sea breezes while blocking harsh winds. Stone towers and gates punctuate the perimeter walls, and the cathedral of St. Mark stands at the town's highest point. The surrounding island is covered with vineyards producing the indigenous Pošip and Grk white wines.
