Rovinj

A Venetian-influenced fishing town on the Istrian peninsula, Rovinj clusters its pastel-coloured baroque houses on a former island now connected to the mainland. The Church of St. Euphemia crowns the hilltop and its campanile is visible from far out at sea. Narrow cobblestone lanes rise steeply through the old town to the summit, where panoramic views extend across the Adriatic archipelago. Early morning light renders the harbour's reflections particularly photogenic.
