Biokovo

Biokovo is a karst limestone massif rising steeply from the Makarska Riviera coastline to a peak above 1,700 metres, forming one of the most dramatic coastal escarpments in the Adriatic region. The Biokovo Nature Park protects endemic flora and a network of hiking trails that offer vertical relief and sweeping views from the plateau across the Dalmatian islands and, on clear days, toward Italy. The Skywalk glass-floored platform near the summit is a popular contemporary viewpoint.
