The Krka National Park follows the lower course of the Krka River as it descends through a series of travertine waterfalls and turquoise pools toward the Adriatic. The Skradinski Buk cascade, the largest and lowest of the falls, is the park's centrepiece and can be viewed from a network of wooden boardwalks at close range. Upstream, the Roski Slap waterfall and the island monastery of Visovac add historical and natural depth to the landscape.
