The Lotus Temple is a Bahá'í House of Worship in New Delhi, completed in 1986 and designed by Iranian-Canadian architect Fariborz Sahba in the form of a half-open lotus flower composed of 27 white marble-clad petals. Open to people of all faiths for meditation and prayer, it is one of the most visited buildings in the world by annual visitor count. The structure's reflecting pools and surrounding garden create a strong geometric visual composition from multiple angles.
