Tucked beside the ruins of Mehrauli in Delhi, the Yogmaya Temple honours Yogmaya, a sister of Krishna in Hindu tradition. It is counted among the few surviving temples said to predate the sultanate era, though the current small marble structure was rebuilt in the nineteenth century. The shrine centres on a shallow pit holding a stone image of the goddess, and it anchors the annual Phool Walon Ki Sair procession celebrating communal harmony. Its modest scale near the Qutb complex offers a quiet counterpoint to Delhi's grander monuments.
