This small Lodi-era mosque near Hauz Khas takes its name, meaning blue mosque, from the band of blue glazed tiles that once decorated its facade. Built in the early sixteenth century, it presents a modest prayer hall with three arched bays beneath low domes, set on a raised plinth, and an inscription records its construction by a noblewoman of the period. Now surrounded by a residential neighbourhood, the compact structure survives as an intimate example of the transitional architecture before the Mughal conquest.
