Unveiled in 2006 near Confederation Square in Ottawa, this memorial honors fourteen figures drawn from more than four centuries of Canadian military history. Nine busts and five full statues portray commanders and heroes from the French and British colonial wars, the War of 1812 and the World Wars, including figures such as Isaac Brock and Laura Secord. A Latin inscription meaning "no day shall erase you from the memory of time" runs along the wall behind them, linking individual stories to the wider national commemoration.
