The Church of All Nations, also called the Basilica of the Agony, stands at the foot of the Mount of Olives beside the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem. Completed in 1924 with contributions from many countries, from which it takes its name, it enshrines the rock where tradition holds Jesus prayed before his arrest. The interior is kept deliberately dim, with mosaic ceilings evoking a starry night sky and a golden façade mosaic facing the Kidron Valley. Ancient olive trees in the adjacent garden add to the site's atmosphere of quiet devotion.
