Cyprus, all of it.
66 curated places across 9 regions — photographed, mapped, and noted with the season each is best in.
The 4 biggest regions — Nicosia District, Paphos District, Limassol District and Larnaca District — read below as chapters, with 5 more waiting past them.
Chapter I · Nicosia District · 17 places
Nicosia District
Nicosia, also known as Lefkosia, is the capital of Cyprus and the world's last divided capital city, partitioned since 1974 by a UN-administered buffer zone separating the Republic of Cyprus from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Within the Venetian star-shaped walled city on the southern side, the Cyprus Museum holds one of the most comprehensive collections of Cypriot antiquities, and the Selimiye Mosque — the former medieval Cathedral of Saint Sophia, converted after the Ottoman conquest — stands on the northern side. The crossing points in the old city allow visitors to pass between the two communities.
Chapter II · Paphos District · 12 places
Paphos District
A sea stack rising from the water along the southwestern coast, tied in legend to the birth of the goddess of love. A pebbly beach faces the rock beneath the coastal highway.

Chapter III · Limassol District · 11 places
Limassol District
Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus and its main commercial port, rebuilt substantially after repeated destruction and today defined by a revitalized seafront promenade and a restored medieval castle where Richard I of England is said to have married in 1191. The castle, repaired under the Crusader and Lusignan periods, now houses the Cyprus Medieval Museum. A wine village trail in the Troodos foothills northwest of the city offers access to traditional viticulture in villages surrounded by Commandaria wine-producing vineyards.
Chapter IV · Larnaca District · 8 places
Larnaca District
Larnaca is the third largest city in Cyprus, built on the site of the ancient city-kingdom of Kition and centred on a palm-lined seafront promenade backed by the medieval Fort Larnaca. The Church of Saint Lazarus, one of the most important Byzantine structures on the island, is believed to mark the tomb of Lazarus of Bethany, who is said to have lived in Cyprus after the biblical resurrection. The Larnaca Salt Lake adjacent to the city is a wetland of international importance, with populations of greater flamingos visible in winter months.
