Wat Suthat Thepwararam is one of the oldest and largest Buddhist temples in Bangkok, situated near the Giant Swing monument in the old city. Construction began under Rama I and was completed under Rama III, and the temple is home to Phra Si Sakyamuni, a large bronze Buddha image transferred from Sukhothai. The viharn's interior walls are covered with murals depicting Buddhist cosmology and Thai courtly life painted during the Rama III era. The temple is classified as a first-class royal temple, the highest designation in the Thai temple hierarchy.
