This grand Edwardian mansion in Dunedin was built in the early twentieth century for a wealthy merchant family and bequeathed to the city with its contents intact. The Jacobean-style house preserves original furnishings, artworks, ceramics and collections gathered on the family's world travels, offering a detailed picture of privileged colonial life. Guided tours lead through the rooms, kitchens and gardens. The completeness of its interiors makes it one of the finest historic house museums in the country.
