The Accra Arts Centre, officially the Centre for National Culture, is a sprawling market of stalls and workshops where carvers, weavers, and painters sell crafts from across West Africa. Kente cloth, wooden masks, beadwork, drums, and leather goods fill the covered lanes, and artisans often work on pieces in view of shoppers. Located near the coast in central Accra, it has long been a first stop for visitors seeking souvenirs and a glimpse of regional craft traditions. Bargaining is expected, and live drumming sometimes animates the grounds.
