St. Peter's Church is a Franciscan church perched above the old port of Jaffa, its tall bell tower forming a landmark on the skyline of the historic town. The present church, completed in the early 20th century, stands on the site of earlier structures and a medieval citadel, and commemorates the apostle Peter's association with the town in the New Testament. The interior holds ornate altars and stained glass, and the elevated terrace outside offers sweeping views over the harbour and the Mediterranean toward the towers of Tel Aviv.
