Neve Tzedek is the oldest neighbourhood of Tel Aviv, founded in 1887 as a Jewish quarter outside the walls of Jaffa before the wider city existed. Its narrow lanes are lined with low, ornamented houses restored into boutiques, galleries, and cafés, giving the district a village-like character amid surrounding high-rises. The area is home to the Suzanne Dellal Centre for dance and theatre. Once run-down, Neve Tzedek is now one of the most sought-after and picturesque parts of the city.
