Rainbow Street

Rainbow Street is a lively thoroughfare in the historic Jabal Amman neighbourhood, running along the first of the city's seven hills. Once home to early-20th-century villas built by prominent Ammani families, it has become a hub of cafés, galleries, and small shops. On Fridays a popular open-air market known as Souk Jara sets up along the street during the warmer months. Visitors come for the views over downtown, the restored stone houses, and the relaxed pedestrian atmosphere that contrasts with the busier commercial districts below.
