A large Ottoman-era caravanserai in the northern part of old Nicosia, built in the 16th century to lodge travelling merchants and their animals. Two storeys of arched cells surround a square courtyard with a small domed prayer structure at its centre. Restored in recent decades, it now houses craft workshops, galleries and cafés set within the historic arcades. It is regarded as one of the finest surviving inns of its kind on the island and a lively cultural meeting place.
