Completed in the early 1930s, this thirteen-storey tower was among the tallest buildings in Central Europe at the time and remains an icon of interwar Ljubljana. Its name simply means skyscraper, and its blend of neo-Renaissance and modernist detail reflects the ambitions of the era. A cantilevered spiral staircase rises through the core, while a café and terrace near the top offer panoramic views over the rooftops toward the castle and surrounding hills. It stands as a landmark of early twentieth-century Slovenian engineering and design.
