The 4 biggest regions — Agadez Region, Niamey, Zinder Region and Maradi Region — read below as chapters, with 1 more waiting past them.
Chapter I · Agadez Region · 7 places
Agadez Region
This is the largest protected area in Africa, covering some 7.7 million ha, though the area considered a protected sanctuary constitutes only one-sixth of the total area. It includes the volcanic rock mass of the Aïr, a small Sahelian pocket, isolated as regards its climate and flora and fauna, and situated in the Saharan desert of Ténéré. The reserves boast an outstanding variety of landscapes, plant species and wild animals.
Chapter II · Niamey · 4 places
Niamey
The National Museum of Niger in Niamey, sometimes called the Boubou Hama museum, is an expansive park-museum combining ethnographic galleries, a small zoo, craft workshops and pavilions of vernacular architecture. Founded in 1959, it displays regional dress, weaponry and finds, and famously houses dinosaur skeletons and remains of the Tree of Ténéré. Artisans work on-site in leather, silver and weaving. The blend of natural history, culture and craft makes it a top attraction in the capital.

Chapter III · Zinder Region · 2 places
Zinder Region
Niger's former capital and an old Hausa sultanate city, where the Birni quarter's decorated adobe houses and the Sultan's Palace preserve centuries of Sahelian tradition. Its Thursday market has drawn desert caravans for generations.
Chapter IV · Maradi Region · 1 place
Maradi Region
The principal congregational mosque of Maradi, a busy commercial city in southern Niger near the Nigerian border. It serves a large Hausa Muslim population with deep roots in Sahelian trade and religious life.
