Czech Republic, all of it.
350 curated places across 14 regions — photographed, mapped, and noted with the season each is best in.
The 4 biggest regions — South Moravian Region, South Bohemian Region, Central Bohemian Region and Liberec Region — read below as chapters, with 10 more waiting past them.
Chapter I · South Moravian Region · 52 places
South Moravian Region
Macocha Abyss is the deepest open doline in Central Europe, plunging 138 metres through the limestone plateau of the Moravian Karst. Two viewing platforms at the rim look straight down to twin turquoise lakes at the bottom, where the Punkva River resurfaces after its underground course. Early morning light creates shifting shadows across the mossy walls, making the abyss a compelling photographic subject.
Chapter II · South Bohemian Region · 30 places
South Bohemian Region
Perched on a promontory above a tight meander of the Vltava River, Český Krumlov Castle is the second-largest castle complex in Bohemia. Its cylindrical tower, painted in trompe-l'œil Renaissance detail, anchors a skyline that photographers frame from the castle garden terrace at dusk. The baroque theater inside preserves original stage machinery from the 18th century.

Chapter III · Central Bohemian Region · 28 places
Central Bohemian Region
Founded by Charles IV to safeguard the crown jewels, this Gothic castle rises in tiers above a wooded valley southwest of Prague. Its Chapel of the Holy Cross glitters with gilt and semiprecious stones.
Chapter IV · Liberec Region · 20 places
Liberec Region
A combined medieval castle and Renaissance chateau in northern Bohemia, said to be among the first heritage sites in Europe opened to the public. Its armoury and richly furnished interiors evoke the era of general Wallenstein.
