Rideau Hall is the official residence of the Governor General of Canada, a rambling Victorian compound set within 36 hectares of grounds bordering the Rideau River in Ottawa's New Edinburgh neighbourhood. The estate includes formal gardens, a cricket pitch, a skating rink, and a collection of heritage trees. The residence and grounds are open to the public throughout the year for guided tours and seasonal programming.
