The Storting Building is the seat of the Norwegian parliament, a yellow-brick structure in central Oslo completed in 1866. Its distinctive semicircular central section, containing the debating chamber, projects toward the main avenue between the royal palace and the central station. Designed in a Romantic Revival style with Italianate influences, it has hosted the nation's legislature for over a century and a half. Free guided tours are offered on Saturdays outside session periods, showing the chamber, lobby, and the building's art.
