The Riksdag House is the seat of the Swedish parliament, occupying most of the small island of Helgeandsholmen in central Stockholm. Completed in 1905 in a neo-Baroque style, it was later joined to a former bank building that now contains the modern debating chamber. The complex sits beside the royal palace and the old town, its curved facade following the shoreline. Free guided tours run outside session times through the plenary hall and art collection, and its island location marks the waterfront.
