The Straka Academy is a neo-Baroque building on the bank of the Vltava in Prague that serves as the seat of the government of the Czech Republic and the office of the prime minister. Completed in 1896, it was founded as a foundation to educate the sons of impoverished noble families, a purpose reflected in its name. After several changes of use it became the executive's headquarters. Its green-domed pavilions and riverside gardens make it a distinctive landmark, though the interior is reserved for cabinet meetings and official business.
