The Wallenstein Palace is a monumental early-Baroque complex in Prague's Lesser Town that today houses the Senate of the Czech Republic. Built in the 1620s for a powerful military commander, it was among the first grand Baroque palaces north of the Alps, arranged around courtyards and a celebrated formal garden. The sala terrena loggia and bronze statuary make the garden a highlight, freely open in warmer months. The Senate offers guided tours of the historic halls, blending the building's aristocratic past with its modern parliamentary role.
