Erected in the early 1970s, it stands within a fountain at a prominent intersection near the sports complex. The figure's dynamic pose and raised torch have made it a well-known landmark for drivers approaching from the south. Surrounded by a landscaped roundabout, it is often used as a directional reference in the growing business quarter.
