Taman Menteng

Taman Menteng is a modern urban park in the leafy Menteng district of central Jakarta, built in the mid-2000s on the site of a former football stadium. Its design pairs open lawns and rows of planted trees with glass pavilions, sports courts and a network of paved paths. Intended as a green lung and gathering space in a dense part of the city, it draws joggers, families and young people in the cooler hours. The park's contemporary architecture and greenhouses distinguish it from the district's older colonial-era gardens nearby.
