This ornate Edwardian baroque building on Quay Street has served as the gateway to Auckland's harbour ferries since 1912. Built of brick and sandstone with a distinctive clock and arched arcades, it once handled crowds of commuters and remains the departure point for services to Devonport, Waiheke Island and other destinations across the Waitemata Harbour. The upper floors house restaurants overlooking the water. Its restored facade is a prominent landmark along the central waterfront.
