Formerly the Torre de los Ingleses, this clock tower in Retiro was a gift from the resident British community to mark the centenary of the May Revolution and was inaugurated in 1916. Designed in an English Palladian style with Portland stone and a copper cupola, it houses a carillon and a viewing gallery. Its name was changed after the 1982 Falklands conflict. Standing across from a plaza and the city's main railway stations, the tower is a distinctive marker of the Retiro district.
