Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and one of the largest cities in South America, structured around a central grid of wide boulevards and a dense cultural fabric of theatres, milonga dance halls, and bookshops. The Recoleta Cemetery, a walled city of ornate mausoleums, and the coloured iron facades of the La Boca Caminito district are among the most photographed urban spaces in the country. The city's tango culture, a UNESCO Intangible Heritage, is most authentically experienced in the milongas of San Telmo and the Palermo neighbourhood.
