The seat of Argentina's bicameral legislature anchors the western end of Avenida de Mayo, its greened bronze dome rising above a monumental Greco-Roman facade completed in 1906. Designed by Vittorio Meano and finished by Julio Dormal, the palace faces a broad plaza laid out as the symbolic kilometre zero of the nation's roads. Interiors combine marble staircases, allegorical sculpture and a chamber modelled on European parliaments. Guided visits pass through the halls of both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
