This restored 18th-century plantation house in the Garrison district is the only residence outside North America where George Washington is known to have stayed, spending roughly two months there in 1751 with his ailing half-brother. The Georgian building has been furnished to reflect the period and interprets colonial Barbadian life, plantation society, and the young Washington's single foreign journey. A small museum, kitchen, stable, and an underground military tunnel network form part of the visit. It sits within the Garrison Historic Area.
