The Observatoire de la Capitale is an observation deck on the upper floor of a government tower in Quebec City, offering the highest public viewpoint in the provincial capital. From more than two hundred metres above the ground, floor-to-ceiling windows reveal a panorama of the old walled city, the St. Lawrence River, the Laurentian hills and the surrounding suburbs. Interpretive displays identify landmarks and recount the region's history. The elevated vantage provides an orienting overview for visitors exploring the historic district below.
