The Morrin Centre is an English-language cultural centre in Old Quebec housed in a stone building that once served as the city's common jail and later as an early college. Its centrepiece is an atmospheric Victorian library, all dark wood galleries and iron staircases, home to one of the oldest learned societies in the country. Preserved prison cells in the basement recall the building's grim earlier use. The centre interprets the history of Quebec City's English-speaking community and hosts talks, tours and exhibitions.
