This interactive museum devoted to language and words occupies the historic Franklin School building downtown, itself a landmark where an early wireless voice transmission was demonstrated. Opened in 2020, it uses voice-activated exhibits, projections, and games to explore how language works, from vocabulary and grammar to accents and the joy of reading. A talking willow tree and a room that reacts to spoken words draw families and school groups. Admission is free, and the restored school building adds architectural interest to the visit.
