This Georgian Revival townhouse in the Kalorama neighborhood was the retirement home of President Woodrow Wilson, the only president to remain in the capital after leaving office. He lived here from 1921 until his death in 1924, and the house is preserved as a museum with much of his furnishings intact. Displays include gifts of state, memorabilia from the First World War era, and early domestic technology of the 1920s. The intimate rooms convey the private life of a president in the twilight of his career.
