The Newseum was a museum on Pennsylvania Avenue dedicated to news, journalism, and free expression, operating from 2008 until it closed in late 2019. Its glass-fronted building displayed a large engraving of the First Amendment and offered sweeping terrace views toward the Capitol. Exhibits included sections of the Berlin Wall, a preserved antenna from the World Trade Center, and daily front pages from around the world. Though now closed, it remains a notable chapter in the capital's cultural landscape.
