The Bicentennial Monument, known as the Three Birds or Zonm Lib, stands near the waterfront in Victoria, capital of Seychelles. Unveiled in 1978 to mark two hundred years since the first settlement, it depicts three stylised white wings soaring skyward, symbolising the African, European and Asian origins of the Seychellois people. The sculpture has become an emblem of national identity and unity in the island nation. Set amid roundabout gardens near the modern port, it is one of the most photographed civic landmarks in the capital.
