In downtown Oklahoma City, this museum is best known for its extensive collection of glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly, including a fifty-five-foot tower of twisting glass in its atrium, one of the largest the artist ever created. Beyond the glass, galleries hold American and European painting, photography, and rotating exhibitions, and the building includes a film theater screening independent and classic cinema. The Chihuly installation, lit from within, has become a signature image of the city's arts district and a frequent stop for visitors.
