An 18th-century mosque in central Yerevan, the only working mosque remaining in the Armenian capital and a reminder of the city's period under Persian rule. Built during the era of the local khanate, it is distinguished by its tiled dome and minaret and by a tranquil courtyard garden with a pool. The complex fell into disuse during the Soviet period and later served other functions before being restored with Iranian assistance. Today it functions as a place of worship and a cultural centre, welcoming visitors to its peaceful courtyard.
