Housed in a monumental art deco former trading-company bank near Jakarta Kota station, this museum preserves the workings of early-20th-century banking in the Dutch East Indies. Its vast marble halls, original safes, ledgers, adding machines, and stained-glass windows survive largely intact, offering a vivid picture of colonial commerce. Displays walk visitors through the evolution of the institution and the currencies it handled. It is among the most impressive surviving examples of interwar commercial architecture in the capital.
