This performing arts venue in the Mandi House cultural district has hosted classical music, dance and theatre since it opened in the early 1970s. Named after the industrialist family that endowed it, the hall is prized for its acoustics and has become a favoured stage for recitals of Indian classical dance and Hindustani and Carnatic music, as well as drama and cultural festivals. Its intimate scale allows a close connection between performers and audience within the capital's arts quarter.
